Overarching Concept: Continuity & Change
Organizing Idea: What Impacts Our World?
Unit Contents
Students learn that there is continuity and change in every aspect of our world. Changes in communities and transportation are explored. Students learn about the cycles of our Earth as they study about the seasons, weather, and the water cycle. Students find that the leaders of our city, state, and national governments also contribute to the continuity and change in our world. The leadership traits of historical leaders as well as modern-day leaders are a major focus in this Organizing Idea.
