Organizing Idea: How Are Communities Interdependent In Our World?
Unit Contents
Each of the units in this Organizing Idea is designed to show the many interactions that take place in our world. Students learn that the different states of matter interact with one another to cause changes in the matter. People and nature interact constantly. These interactions allow us to meet our basic needs. The people in communities interact with one another as they become producers and consumers of goods and services. As a culminating activity, students create a community of their own.
