Unit Contents
Students are introduced to natural resources, community resources, economic resources, and personal resources. They will study the Resource Cycle and discover ways to help take care of their community as well as the Earth. The students will participate in a variety of problem-solving activities. They will learn about earning, saving, and spending as it relates to a business. The study of Henry Ford and the assembly line leads the students to a simulation in which they participate in an actual assembly line. At the end of the Organizing Idea, the students will set personal fitness goals.

Match 'em Up: Finding Resources in the Library - by Kim Murff
The students will be able to match a resource's call number with its title and demonstrate the ability to locate that resource in the library.
