Band Camp Information

Camp Session 1: Beginner/Intermediate - Mon. June 13-Fri. June 17, 2016

Camp Session 2: Intermediate/Advanced - Mon. June 20-Fri. June 24, 2016

Closing Concert: Fri, June 17 or Fri. June 24 @ 1:00 pm

Plano ISD summer Band Camp is open to any current 6th, 7th or 8th grade band student who plays flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, trombone, and eupnonium or percussion.  This is an excellent opportunity to grow as a young musician and make some great new friends. Spots are filled on a first come, first served basis, so register early to ensure your spot!

Two full bands will be featured each week. Placement will be by audition on the first day of each week. Each band will have a guest conductor and section leaders.  The conductors are band directors from across the North Texas area and are our invited guests. Section leaders are band directors from schools in PISD.  They will guide Sectional Rehearsals and Ensemble Techniques portions of the day. The Band Camp also has administrative staff that will organize and coordinate all the events for the week.

Location: McMillen High School

If a student needs transportation to camp, they can pay a transportation fee of $25 and ride a PISD school bus.  The bus transportation is availabe from and to Clark, Jasper, Shepton, Williams, and Vines High Schools.

Tuition Fee: $85

Every student will have to pay an tuition fee of $85.  This covers the entire week of activities and t-shirt. This fee, and optional transportation costs, must be paid through PayPams prior to registration. You will need your payment confirmation number to submit the regtisrtration form.

Entries are accepted in the order that they are received. There are a limited number of children we can accept on each instrument. Should you register and a place on your instrument is not available, you will be contacted by the camp coordinator and given the option of either being placed on a wait-list.

Audition Music will be available for download on June 1, 2016.

Orchestra Camp Information
