Description of Activity: To identify an item from clues

Materials:
Little Riddles: Set 2 ©1988 Educational Insights Dominquez Hills, CA 90220

Objective: To teach the ability to identify and label items through a series of clues from nonspecific clues to specific clues.

Target Vocabulary:

balloon, butterfly, cactus, carrot, comb, elephant, elevator, globe, kangaroo, ladder, needle, newspaper,
octopus, orange, parrot, pencil, piano, popcorn, raccoon, rainbow, scissors, shadow, telephone

Sample Words and Phrases:
I am round.
I am very colorful.
I float in the air.
People sell me at a circus.
I like birthday parties.
I make a very loud noise when it pop.
What am I?

Adaptations:

Create the clues to be more difficult or easier, depending on the students abilities. Create a game where the child creates the clues on the device and tells other children or the therapist the clues

Age: Early and late elementary,
