Plano East Wins State One-Act Play Contest
Plano East Theatre's production of THE MARRIAGE OF BETTE AND BOO won first place at the UIL State One Act Play Contest on Saturday, May 8. The contest was held in the Bass Performance Hall on the UT campus.
The students performed for over 2000 people and were treated to the only standing ovation of the day!

PSHS Wins State Theatrical Design Contest
The first-ever entry in the UIL State Theatrical Design Contest by a Plano school lead to top results. Plano Senior High students Ashley Sykes, Garrett Graham and Emily Ward earned first place in the Team Design Catagory.
Garrett Graham took third place in Publicity Design, and Emily Ward received third place in Set Design. The PSHS team came in second in the Overall Team Performance Catagory. PSHS Theatre teachers are Greg Arp and Abby Kraemer.
Plano West Students and Teacher Named to State Honor Crew
Alex Fejer and BJ Johnson were chosen to be on the UIL State Honor Crew for the UIL One-Act Plays. The students applied and based on their application and recommendations, were chosen to be on the crew where they were able to run lights, sound, and backstage crew for all the 3A, 4A, and 5A UIL One-Act State Plays. Their Technical Director is Norv Sykes.
Theatre Director, Carla Ford-Rich was chosen for the All Star Teacher Honor Crew where she work as a Box Office Manager for the UIL One-Act Play Competition at Bass Hall on the UT Campus.
High School One-Act Play Festival Results
Each year, Plano ISD hosts a High School One-Act Play Competition for the five Plano ISD High Schools. The 2005-06 competition was held at Plano Senior High on November 19th. This competiition prepares our High School students for the UIL One Act Play Competition they will perform in at the Senior High School level.

East Wins First Runner-Up in State One-Act Play
Contest
Plano East Senior High's one-act production
of "Big Love" was honored as the First Runner-up in the 2004
State One-Act Play Contest sponsored by the University Interscholastic
League.
Melissa Wright was named Best Actress at
the competition and Greg Bussell was selected for the All Star
Cast.
In the road to state, the production achieved
