This page provides tutorials and tips for basic image
editing and some additional resources related to saving and using
images from the Internet. Some of the resources below connect you
to free images and/or low-cost subscriptions for noncommercial
use. Make sure to read the copyright notices and guidelines
at each site carefully to see what permission is required, if any,
for the images that you may be interested in. In addition, the
Instructional Technology Dept. also provides training and support
for more advanced photo and image editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop
and Macromedia Fireworks. Check the Professional
Development page
for upcoming sessions for ImageBlender, Photoshop or Fireworks.
The Associated Press Photo Archives - The Photo Archive is an
electronic library containing the AP's current photos and a selection
of pictures from their 50 million image print and negative library.
It is made available in this format to schools K-12, colleges and
universities and public libraries by AccuWeather, Inc. Thanks to
Plano ISD Learning Media Services for making this fee-based resource
available for our staff and students. As this is a subscription
service, it can only be accessed from a PISD networked workstation.

The Pics4Learning collection consists of thousands of images that
have been donated by students, teachers, and amateur photographers.
Unlike many Internet sites, permission has been granted for teachers
and students to use all of the images donated to the Pics4Learning
collection. http://pics4learning.com/index.php
