The POWER indicator on the unit turns to green and starts flashing. It usually takes about one minute for the unit to be ready to use. In addition to powering on/off and selecting the source, the remote can also be used as a laser pointer. To use the laser pointer just press the LASER button on the Plus U2-1200R Remote Control, the Plus U2-1110 remote control or the Plus U5-200R Remote Control, and point at the screen as needed. The remote also can be used to temporarily MUTE (blank screen) the video signal. To use the video MUTE just press the MUTE button on the Plus U2-1200R Remote Control ,the Plus U2-1110 remote control or the Plus U5-200R Remote Control. When ready to "show" the image again on the screen press the MUTE button again. WARNING: Please be careful not to mistake the video MUTED state of the projector as the same as the projector being POWERED OFF. The bulb is still burning during the MUTED state! Note: The remote control's signal is designed to be pointed directly at the front or back of the ceiling mounted projector. It may also work, depending on the angle you point it and the lighting conditions of your classroom, to "bounce" the signal off of the screen itself. Experiment and use the method that works best for you. Note: Using the laser pointing feature of your remote will shorten the battery life of the 2 AA batteries used in the remote. Tip: If you start to notice a delay or "sluggishness" in the remote's operation try installing some fresh batteries or try standing directly in front of or directly behind the mounted projector. |

| Shutting Down the System (VERY IMPORTANT!) After using the unit, press POWER OFF on the Plus U2-1200R Remote Control ,the Plus U2-1110 remote control, or the Plus U5-200R Remote Control, for two to three seconds. When you have turned off the unit, the POWER indicator will start flashing then turn to amber in one minute. Note: Neither POWER ON on the remote control nor POWER on the unit will operate while the POWER indicator is flashing. Wait at least one minute before turning on the unit again. POWER ON on the remote may not operate if you try to turn on the unit again within one minute after turning off the unit. Tip: Turning the Projector's POWER on and off several times over the course of several hours will use up a significant amount of the projector's bulb life. As a general rule-of-thumb, if you will be using the projector for at least 20-25 minutes during back-to-back classes, it will be best to just use the MUTE mode instead of completely POWERING DOWN and then POWERING ON again. If you are planning to use the projector 1st period and then again after lunch, then it will probably be better to POWER DOWN completely. WARNING: PLEASE MAKE SURE that the projector is completely POWERED DOWN at the end of each day! Although the projector does have an "Auto" shut-off feature, it may not work if a source signal, such as the computer's, is not also turned off! |
