Gyrfalcons: Mashaal Ali is always on task doing the right thing. When absent she always request her work. Polite student.

Theater-Speech: Theatre/Speech nominated Jennifer Kurkowski this six weeks for her dedication and wonderful attitude toward the program and toward other students. Jennifer was chosen as the understudy for the lead in the one act play, Up the Down Staircase. She took that job very seriously by memorizing all the lines, coming to extra practices, and working on in-depth character studies for that role. This is especially impressive given the fact that she never got to show an audience the work she had done. Being an understudy is such a thankless job, and I wanted to find a moment for her to shine. She truly shows this kind of dedication to everything she does in Theatre and Speech.

Band: Madeline McMillan is always prepared for class and practices every day. She is an extremely talented musician and a true leader in the double reed class. Because of these qualities, Madeline hs received the Frankford Finest award this 6-weeks from the Band department.

ESL: Itzel Aradillas - ESL - has only been in the US 1½ years and does a great job speaking English!

He never complains and will work with any student or group of students you put him with. His teachers appreciate his efforts and his positive attitude.

Pioneers: The Pioneer Team is pleased to recognize Niveta Subbiah as their Frankford's Finest. Niveta sets high goals for herself and strives diligently to attain them. They are both always on task, working extremely hard on each and every project, and are also very artistic and creative. Their artistic talent has really blown me away. Casie and Brooke definitely both deserve the title of Frankford's Finest!

Technology Education: Darren McClelland-Urbanski is a wonderful young person who is honest and kind. He exhibits courtesy to his fellow students and teachers. He is a joy to have in class. Darren is going to be a success in whatever career he selects.

Girls Athletics: 7th grade girls' athletics, Rachel Kauffman is very dependable and is ready to step-up in anyway she may be needed. She works extremely hard during practice and is focused on improving her skills. She is self-motivated and has a very sweet spirit.

Samantha or Sam as we call her is the hardest working athlete in 8th grade athletics. She is a serious competitor and works hard to achieve her goals. She, too, is very self-motivated and, in her own quiet way, contributes to the team every time she competes.

Choir: Hannah Oran is an outstanding member of 6th Grade Choir and of our 6th grade honor choir. We appreciate that she is always enthusiastic, focused, and positive during rehearsals. She is a consensus-builder among her peers. She is a quiet but effective leader, as well as a very talented musician. She is a pleasure to have in choir!
