Skills

English IV is designed to meet the needs of reading and writing skills necessary for both college and life. The course objectives, design, and assignments will be similar to the expectations of both a college course and life's demands. Critical thinking, composition development, meaningful discussion, and textual analysis are cornerstones of the course. The purpose of this course is to help the student improve analytical, creative, and real-life writing skills.

Differences in Weighting of Grades

  • Teachers will assign various daily grade assignments.
  • Major grades will be taken on tests, quizzes, essays and projects.
