| CREDIT: | 1 |
| PREREQUISITE: | Honors Algebra II with a grade of B or better; regular Algebra II with a 95 average; should really like math. |
| DESCRIPTION: | Honors Precalculus delves very deeply into the topics: trigonometry, functions, exponents, logarithms, polynomials, conic sections, sequences, series, polar coordinates, inequalities, and coordinate geometry. The topics probability and vectors are briefly covered. |
| HOMEWORK: | One-half to one hour of work per night on the average. Students should not be taking more than 3 honors courses concurrently. Students who feel they are smart enough to learn without doing any homework should not take this course as much of the learning is done by discovery. |

| SPECIAL SUPPLIES: | A graphing calculator is required. |
| REQUIREMENTS: | Some library research may be required. Students need to be willing to talk in front of the class, teach some material. |
