Janet Hirunrusme

I graduated from the University of Radford, in Radford, Virginia with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education. After moving to Texas, I spent many years teaching preschool before coming to Wells. I am married with two grown children, a son and daughter. My three cats keep me busy at home.

I love to visit art museums and work on my own art at home. I enjoy reading books of all kinds, spending time with my family and working in my garden. My newest interest is learning to do web design, and I’ve enjoyed working on the Wells website.

My goal as a teacher is to help each student do the best they can no matter what their skill level.The arts is an area where everyone can shine given the opportunity and knowledge of how to be successful.

Being the art teacher at Wells is the best! I know how lucky I am to have such a supportive staff and parents who care about the arts.
