My name is Marie Abukar. I am a Special Ed. Assistant at Wells Elementary. I started at Wells in the spring of 1997. I am married and have 3 children, two girls and a boy. I also have 2 cats that keep me busy.
My philosophy for teaching is from the book, Leo the Late Bloomer. Every child will bloom when they are ready. I enjoy working on the computer and designing things to help my students achieve their goals. I also like to read, and during the summer I like to work at Camp Tejas for special needs students.
My favorite animal is a penguin, and I have over 100 penguins in my collection. My favorite color is purple and baby blue.
