My name is Kay Glawe and I am lucky enough to be the counselor here at Barron Early Childhood School. I was an elementary counselor for 13 years and a special education teacher prior to that. I see the children weekly for guidance lessons for the morning classes with my special friend Skippy.

My name is Aina Carruth. I am the part-time counselor here at Barron Early Childhood School. I lead the guidance for the afternoon classes with my special friend Paco. I have been a special education teacher for five years and am beginning my first year as a counselor at Barron.

Skippy (Mrs. Glawe) and Paco (Mrs. Carruth) are our silly monkey puppets that love the children as much as we do. They help us teach our guidance lessons. Skippy and Paco also have two friends, Poncho and Sharindy that join us. We have lots of fun with books and music with your children!

In the Spring, we are conducting parenting classes on Wednesday afternoons from 12:30-2:30 in the conference room near the office. Classes will be January 16th, 23rd, 30th, February 6th, 13th, and 20th. All parents are welcome to attend. We are using the program from “Love & Logic: Early Childhood Parenting Made Fun!” which has lots of great strategies to help us be the best parents we can be. The videos are humorous and help in giving us skills to learn how effectively parent our wonderful children using love and logic.
