Welcome to Beaty Early Childhood School. My name is Susie Vaughan and it is a privilege to be Beaty’s principal. Our school is truly a dream come true! We have created a place with much to offer Plano’s youngest learners. At Beaty we celebrate our students, our diversity, and our opportunity to shape the learning of hundreds of young children. Although we are your child’s teachers, our students teach us much about life each day.

At Beaty we believe that children must feel safe, nurtured, and valued in order to grow. We are responsible for creating a positive environment where children can learn. Our teachers plan meaningful, authentic learning opportunities using a child-centered approach.

Although we are very serious about young children and their learning, we are not serious in our approach. Our classrooms and hallways are filled with the voices and laughter of young children learning through play.

At Beaty Early Childhood School our motto is “Roots to grow and wings to fly.” Many of the “roots and wings” that sustain our adult lives take shape during the preschool years. It is our mission to plant the roots of influence as deeply as possible and to give children wings that will allow them to fly as adults.
