Storytime in the Kiva
Each class attends a scheduled storytime once every two weeks. In addition to book sharing, storytime includes songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and puppet shows. I will publish a brief recap in the monthly PTA newsletter so that you can converse with your children about stories that are familiar to them. Perhaps you can check these books out from our library or the public library to read at home. Each time we reinforce the connection between school and home, we strengthen the foundation for learning that will support our children throughout their lives.
