Patricia Stone Patricia joined PISD as a kindergarten teacher at Thomas Elementary in 1984. Between 1986 and 1991, she taught second grade, led the special education team, and instructed reading recovery and PASP students. From 1992 to 1998, Patricia was fourth grade team leader at Thomas. During that time, she was a member of the district fourth grade integrated curriculum writing team and a participant in staff development activities associated with that project. When Beverly Elementary opened in 1998, Patricia joined the staff as fourth grade team leader. She was honored as Teacher of the Year by the Beverly staff in 1998-99 and was named PISD Elementary Teacher of the Year in 1999. Patricia became the librarian at Beverly Elementary in 2001. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Music by the University of Louisiana and teaching certifications were awarded by Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Stone received a Master of Science degree from UT Dallas in 1986 and a Doctorate in Education from Texas A&M Commerce in 1995.
