First Grade News

Well it has come to the end of first grade.  What a year it has been! 

To all our parents, thank you for giving us the opportunity to help your child learn and grow.  It has been a very successful year.  Your child has learned tons of things in first grade.  Reading levels have increased, many spelling patterns have been taught, and various stories have been written.  Addition and subtraction facts have been taught, as well as, telling time, counting money and story problem solving.  The list goes on and on….

Continue to work with your child at home during the summer months to prepare him/her for the next school year.  Some suggestions are: Take a weekly trip to the public library.  Allow your child to read daily.  Write friendly letters to family and friends.  We appreciate all that you do with your child at home.
