Susie Solomon Mrs. Solomon is
the Special Education Team Leader. She has lived in Texas for the majority
of her life. Her undergraduate degree is in elementary and special education
from Texas Tech University, and Masters degree in special education
from the University of Texas at Dallas. She taught five years at Barron
Elementary in Plano before having a family. She returned to teaching
special education in 1995 at Thomas Elementary. She came to Beverly
from Thomas Elementary in 1998. Jennifer
Hersh Mrs. Hersh is a graduate of Michigan State University. She has lived in Plano since
1990, and was a stay-at-home mom for 9 years. She joined PISD in 2002
at Skaggs Elementary and began as Special Education teacher at Beverly
in 2003. Matthew
Gonzales Matthew Gonzales is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. Mr. Gonzales began his career in special education at Brinker Elementary in Plano in 2002 where he taught for two years. Matthew comes from a family of educators. His mom was a teacher and principal in Plano for many years and his sister is also a teacher. Matthew is an outdoorsman who thoroughly enjoys spending his free time fly-fishing, hiking, and golfing. He has been a part of the Beverly team since 2006. Kelly Harper Miss Harper is a long-time resident of Plano who graduated from Plano West Senior High in 2002. She received a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Early Childhood Education and a Masters degree in Special Education from Vanderbilt University. After completing her graduate degree, she spent one year teaching elementary school in Thailand and traveling around Southeast Asia. She has recently settled back in Plano and has been a part of the Beverly team since 2010. Betty Talamantez Mrs.
Talamantez grew up in South Texas and moved to Plano in 1976.
She joined the PISD staff at Carlisle Elementary in 1991. Later
she would find herself moving to Thomas Elementary, where she worked
for 1 year. Now, she and her team enjoy working with the Special
Education students at Beverly Elementary. She loves
working with children and making a difference to help our young children
succeed. Mrs. Talamentez was named 2002-2003 Texas
Associate Educator of the Year by the Association of Texas
Professional Educators. Julie Jackse Mrs. Jackse and her family of six, moved to Plano in 1997 from Denver, Colorado where she was born and raised. She joined Beverly Elementary in 1999 as a Special Education Assistant. She has been a PASAR employee since the pilot program started. She is the Assistant Site Manager for the PASAR program here at Beverly. I am looking forward to another awesome year at Beverly. Go Bobcats!! Melinda
Thomasson I graduated from Irving High School in Irving, Texas and attended Abilene Christian University. I have been married to Todd Thomasson for 26 years. We have 3 beautiful daughters. One daughter is teaching in West Texas, one daughter is attending Collin College and the youngest is currently a Hendrick Hawk. I have worked with children from birth to 4th grade for 24 years. I have been at Beverly since 2005. Lori Bates I grew up in Plano and attended Haggard Middle School, Vines High School, and Plano Senior High School. I live in Plano with my husband of three years and our 1 year old daughter, Ridleigh. I recently began substituting for Plano ISD and loved working with children. This will be my first year working with Special Education at Beverly and I am excited to be here! |
