Mr. Speck was born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Oklahoma State University and his Masters Degree in Educational Administration from East Texas State University.
Mr. Speck has 24 years of experience in education with 22 of those in Plano ISD where he was honored as PISD's Beginning Teacher of the Year. He has previously served as an assistant principal and principal in Plano ISD before moving to the school district's Human Resources Department in charge of elementary staffing.
He has been married to his wife for 28 years and has three children, ages 20, 14 and 11.
