Students have many choices the
three years they attend Bowman Middle School.
During sixth grade, they spend
one semester in PE and one semester sampling each of the elective
classes. They are required to take one year of music, either
band, orchestra, or choir.
At the end of sixth grade, they
make their choices for the next year. During seventh and eighth
grades they may choose to take one semester or a full year of some
electives. The music classes encompass an entire year.
The language classes offer the opportunity for students to earn
one high school credit if they take Spanish or French for both seventh
and eighth grades and pass the same end of year exam that is given
to high school students.
