Student Programs

Several programs are available at Bowman to enhance your child's learning experiences.

Academically, students are randomly assigned to one of three academic teams in each grade level.

Honors classes are provided for math and social studies in sixth grade, and for English, math, science, and social studies in seventh and eighth grades.

PACE

The goal of Bowman Middle School’s ESOL program is to assist students in English acquisition as quickly and thoroughly as possible so that they may successfully exit the program and enter general education classes.

All students who report speaking a language other than English at home are assessed to determine eligibility in our program. If it is determined that the student needs assistance in becoming English fluent, our ESL department offers a variety of English, reading, sheltered math, science, and history classes appropriate to the student’s language level.

The Math & Mentoring program fills in missing gaps in math skills. For more information about this program click the Parent Involvement button. For after school homework help, students may attend Homework Haven in the library every Monday and Wednesday until 4:30.

Tutorial Schedule: 7:50-8:20 or 3:35-4:05
