Shauna Koehne
is proud to be in her fifth year as Principal at Carpenter Middle School. Prior to joining the Carpenter staff, she spent six years at Wilson Middle School as an eighth grade English Teacher, Team Leader, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. This is her fifteenth year in education, ten of which have been in Plano I.S.D. Previous districts include Austin I.S.D., Pine Tree I.S.D., Marshall I.S.D., and North East I.S.D. Although she taught second grade one brief year, nearly all of her experience is in middle school where she truly enjoys working with young adolescents and the teachers who share her passion to teach them.
Ms. Koehne is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She holds both a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Learning and Development and Master's Degree in Educational Administration. Hook 'em Horns! She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where she attended Tom C. Clark High School in Northside I.S.D.
When away from Carpenter, Ms. Koehne enjoys spending time with her two young daughters, (both future Cowboys!), reading, gardening, and wearing burnt orange as often as she can stand to support her beloved Longhorns!
