| Speech I |
Is an introduction to the elements of communication, public speaking, and speech construction. Speech is a performance course designed to provide the student with opportunities to enhance his/her communication, organizational, and social skills through individual and group interaction. Students will also be given the opportunity to prepare, deliver, evalulate speeches, and to analyze, perform and evaluate oral readings. |

Prerequisite: Speech I
Advanced study of the elment of communication, public speaking, and speech communication. Speech II is designed to provide students with opportunities to enhance their communication, organizaion, and social skills through individual and group interaction. Additional topics may include oral interpretation, extemporaneous speaking, debate, reader's theater, and famous American speeches. Speech students will prepare various completive events for use at Speech Tournaments. |
