All meetings are held in the school auditorium/cafeteria unless otherwise
specified. Executive Board meetings are held at 9:30 a.m. the second
Thursday of each month, unless otherwise specified.


PTA Information

The PTA is a nonprofit, democratic, voluntary organization whose membership is open to all persons who are concerned with the welfare of all children and youth and who are willing to uphold its basic policies, subscribe to its bylaws and fulfill the “Objects of PTA.”


Objects

The Objects of the Davis Elementary PTA, in common with those of the National PTA and the Texas PTA are:

  • To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship.

  • To raise the standards of home life.

  • To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.

  • To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.

  • To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.



  • Mission

    The Mission of the Davis Elementary PTA is three-fold:
    1) To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the
    community and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make
    decisions affecting children;
    2) to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their
    children; and
    3) to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

  • Provide Davis students with academic enrichment and enhancement opportunities

  • Provide communication about PTA and school related activities to parents in both English and Spanish.

  • Provide parents with legislative and school board information on education matters

  • Provide a volunteer program to assist our students, teachers and staff

  • Provide teacher and staff appreciation activities to acknowledge their efforts

  • Sponsor fundraisers to meet the general PTA budget needs and enhance the education of Davis students

  • Sponsor activities and events that foster school spirit and family togetherness

  • Membership

    This year's theme is: "Passport to Achievement"
    We encourage each and every parent at Davis to become a member of
    the PTA. Our goal this year is 100% participation! Ask your family,
    neighbors or businesses you patronize to join. Each membership recieves
    a school directory. The directory is a reference as well as a telephone
    and address book. Please print and return this membership form to your
    child's teacher.


    Davis Volunteers

    Our parent volunteers are essential to the success of our PTA. Please
    print and complete this Volunteer Interest Form and return it to school with your child. Come join us!


    Davis PTA News Splash

    The Davis PTA publishes a monthly newsletter called the Davis PTA News
    Splash. Each Thursday the youngest or only child in your family will bring
    home a Parent Information Packet containing important information about
    events and activities. The newsletter will be sent home at the beginning of
    each month. Also included in the newsletter will be many volunteer
    opportunities for parents to participate in throughout the year.


    Davis Dolphin Spirit Wear

    T-shirts and custom embroidery merchandise is sold through the Davis
    Elementary PTA. T-shirts promote school spirit and students are
    encouraged to wear their Davis Dolphin T-shirts on Fridays for
    Spirit Day. (Spirit Wear Order Form)


    Community Partners

    Our Davis Elementary PTA is participating in the following
    community partnership programs. These companies donate
    a percentage of total sales to our school. It's an easy way for
    our school to earn money to pay for the quality programs
    planned for our students. Please help by linking your
    purchases to Davis PTA. For more information, contact

    Sign up for a Target Guest Card and 1% of all purchases will be donated to our school. If you already have a card you can call

    Use you Kroger Community Partner cards before you begin your check out. Cards are available in the office.
    General Mill Box Tops & Campbell’s Soup Labels for Education
    We are collecting box tops, labels and proofs of purchase from the participating General Mills Products: General Mills cereal’s, Yoplait yogurt multi packs, Campbell’s soups, Pepperidge Farms: goldfish, croutons, cookies. V8 juices, Franco/American spaghettios, Prego sauces, Swanson’s, Pace Picante sauces, Progresso Soups.
