I grew up in East Texas. I received a Bachelor of Science in Business from East Texas Baptist University in 1990, and a Master of Education in Teacher Leadership from Lamar University in 2009. I began my teaching career in 1998. I began teaching in Plano in 2003. This is my fourth year at Dooley. I am married and I have three daughters.

Kelly is married to her childhood sweetheart and they have 2 boys together. Kelly began working in Plano ISD as a paraprofessional in a special education classroom at Barron Early Childhood School (now known as Isaacs Early Childhood School). Upon graduating with her bachelors degree in psychology from University of Texas at Dallas, Kelly began a masters program in special education at University of North Texas, as well as her first year teaching the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities at Barron ECS. Kelly began teaching in the Centralized Structure Classroom at Dooley Elementary school in 2008. She is currently working on her doctorate in special education for students with emotional and behavioral disorders at the University of North Texas.
