Haggard Middle School, ESOL

The goal of Haggard's ESOL department is to assist the student in English acquisition as quickly and thoroughly as possible so the student can successfully exit the program and enter all general education classes. All students who report speaking another language at home are given assessments to determine eligibility in our program. If it is determined that the student needs assistance in becoming English fluent, the teachers offer a variety of both English and reading classes appropriate to the student's language level.
