in detail to make art comfortable for all students.
Sculpture explores the elements and principles of design through three-dimensional
works of art. Students will create sculpture projects using a variety

| The period for athletics at Haggard
is designed to help prepare students for a school sport and as a practice
period for a player currently involved in a school sport. Students
signing up for an athletic period should be prepared for much more
strenuous activity than in a typical physical education course. Students
should also be aware that in some instances, making a team is a requisite
to participation in the athletic period. Sports in which tryouts are
held are volleyball, basketball, and tennis. There are no tryouts
for football or track. Track and tennis are held exclusively after
the school day. |

for everyone! |

The Physical Education Program consists of various sport units that
are designed to help meet the physical and recreational needs of our
7th and 8th grade students. Our goal is for our students to develop
an understanding and appreciation of physical development in order
to promote the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.
The course is divided up into units and each unit is approximately
3 weeks long. The first week is dedicated to skill development and
the understanding of rules and strategies. The following two weeks
allow the students the opportunity to participate and compete in game
situations. Some of the units we have planned include flag football,
basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball, floor hockey, track and
field, aerobics and recreational games. Physical Fitness testing will
also be conducted. Athletics is offered
for those students who try-out for a Haggard School Team. |
