Welcome Haun Huskies. My name is Jayne Smith, and I have the privilege of being your principal. My primary focus is on children, and I base every decision on our students’ needs. One of my passions is serving with staff, parents, and the community to provide a caring supportive environment with an excellent academic program for all students. They deserve nothing less.
I have been in Plano ISD for 23 years. My career began at Christie Elementary as a second grade teacher. Since that time I have taught K-5, been a PACE specialist, counselor, and assistant principal. Although I have loved every position, this is my favorite. Go Huskies!!
We’re continuing to turn the temperature up to 212 degrees to bring our care, support and academic achievement to a boiling point. As we focus on turning things up even higher, “BIG” will still be one of the words in our vision. We “BELIEVE” in our students one another and our community, “INSPIRE” everyone to become the best he/she can be, and “GROW” and soar together. It’s going to be a “BIG” year filled with spreading the joy of learning, celebrating everyone, and encouraging all to reach for their dreams.
I feel honored to be part of the Haun community. We will have a great year in 2009-2010 living, laughing and learning together.
