Education:  B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies Texas certified EC-4.  I taught in Private Schools for 8 years before returning to finish my degree at Texas Woman’s University.   I had the pleasure of doing my student teaching at Hedgcoxe and feel so privileged to be teaching with such a wonderful team and working daily with such a caring staff of people.  I am truly home.

Family:  I have been married to James Poole, a Principle Software Engineer with Raytheon Systems; for 21 years and we are the proud parents of two wonderful children and one fabulous daughter - in - law.

Our son, Nicholas is United States Army (currently deployed to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne) and is stationed with his wife Victorya at Ft. Bragg, NC.  Our daughter, Allyson is a college freshman studying nursing and spends free time with friends, shopping and babysitting.  We are also proud parents of two four legged “children”.  Barney is our Chihuahua mix and Buddy is our toy poodle.

Interests:  When I am not teaching I enjoy traveling, reading, and various craft projects.  I especially enjoy spending time with my family.

Interesting Facts: Having two siblings in law enforcement would probably persuade me to work as a Crime Scene Investigator if I did not follow my first love of teaching.

Collections: I love candles (but I don’t care for the floral scented ones).  I also collect gift cards to Wal- Mart, Target or any teacher store, to help me to stay organized as well as restaurant, and generic Visa or American Express cards to relax and unwind.  Being an Army Mom I also love any kind of patriotic collectibles.
