Overview

We believe all children should discover the beauty and majesty of music, and experience the pride that comes from a musical performance.  Because of this belief, students will have the opportunity to perform in a grade level performance at least twice during their six years at Hightower.  In addition, the Hightower Choir is open to any interested student at the beginning of their 5th grade year.

Hightower Elementary has had thirteen students accepted as members of the Plano Children’s Choirs since our school opened. We have also had twenty students selected as members of the Organization of American Kodaly Educators National Honor Choir during the past 8 years.

During the 2005-2006 school year, Hightower will have 12 students from 4th and 5th grade participating in the Metroplex Children’s Choir Festival.
