Sprott Welcome to Hightower Elementary School. Mariea Sprott (principal) is enthusiastic and proud to serve the students, staff, and parents of Hightower. At Hightower, we believe in Discipline with Love and Logic that encourages students to be responsible for themselves. We strive to create a safe environment where courtesy and kindness prevail. Mrs. Sprott holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Houston. She has a Certification in Administration from Sam Houston State University. “The greatest preparation I received to become a principal comes from being the mother of two sons and a daughter. I have learned the importance of looking at each child as an individual and appreciating their differences.” Periodically, I can be found challenging family members to a game of basketball, gardening, jogging or relaxing by the pool. My personal priorities include helping students achieve academic success in a caring and supportive environment. Parental involvement is welcomed, valued, and appreciated. |

Allen When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband, Randy and my 2 ½ year old daughter Ella. Our favorite thing to do is go on runs together as a family. We train for and participate in competitive runs many weekends. Although Ella doesn’t run, she enjoys riding in the stroller while Mommy and Daddy push! Mrs.
Allen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Blackburn
University in Carlinville, Illinois. She also holds a Master’s Degree
in Educational Administration from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois.
For seven years, Mrs. Allen taught grades ranging from second to sixth
while living in Illinois. In 2002, she moved to Texas and taught fourth
grade at Wells Elementary and later became the Literacy Specialist there.
For the past two years, Ms. Allen served as the Assistant Principal at
Barksdale Elementary. She will be starting her 12th year in education.
