| The
Living Materials Center, under the direction of Jim Dunlap, features a
collection of small animals and natural history materials. The more than
150 animals that call the Living Materials Center home are housed in individual
living compartments matching whatever their survival and comfort requirements
may be. They are studied, loaned out, taken out on tours to local schools,
and relocated and released into natural habitats whenever possible. Plano
ISD teachers may check out animals and materials for use in the classroom
and may schedule on-site or off-site demonstrations. |
