Plano ISD students in grades Kindergarten, First, Second, and Fourth attend a field trip to the Holifield Science Learning Center as part of their Integrated Curriculum studies. Fifth graders who do not attend Outdoor School at Collin County Adventure Camp have an opportunity to visit the HSLC for a fun day of learning that includes some of the lessons and hands-on labs taught at camp. Secondary science classes have the opportunity to utilize the facilities dependant upon staff availability.
Teachers can schedule a live animal presentation by HSLC staff by contacting Tammy Welch at 469-752-1193 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
