Responsibilities of the counselor consist of:

  • Assisting students in developing a positive self-esteem
  • Meeting with individual students, discussing common concerns with small groups, and leading classroom guidance
  • Coordinating the student recognition for exhibiting good behavior & character
  • Coordinating the school-wide testing program
  • Providing orientation for new students
  • Consulting and communicating with parents, faculty, staff, and community
  • Chair of campus CARE/CAT/504 Committees

Getting to know Mrs. Bell

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and English – University of Texas Arlington
  • Master’s Degree in Counselor Education – North Texas State University (formally University of North Texas)
  • 21 years classroom teaching experience in pre-school – high school
  • 15 years experience in counseling pre-school – adults
  • State certified in guidance and counseling
  • Mother of two
  • Certified facilitator for:

Practical Parenting

Rainbow Days/Kid Connection

Active Parenting
