I graduated with a Home Economics/Emphasis Early Childhood
degree from Texas A&M University in Commerce, and
I have taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. Of course,
2nd is my favorite! My husband, Wilson, is a dentist
in Plano. Both my daughters attended Plano schools--Amber
lives in Dallas, and Abbie is a teacher at Irving High
School. In my spare time I love to read and go on mission
trips with my husband. I am looking forward to another
great year at Jackson!

I graduated from
Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor’s degree
in Bilingual Education & International Studies.
I was born in California, but grew up a military kid
and moved every 2-3 years. This sparked my love for
traveling and I’ve been truly blessed to have
been abroad to Spain and Costa Rica. I taught briefly
in Costa Rica and consider it my second home. I’m
passionate about multicultural education and believe
we all smile in the same language. I’m so excited
to be a part of the Jackson family.

I am so fortunate to be at Jackson and
work with such a great team of teachers! I am a product
of Plano ISD schools from K-12. I attended Texas A&M
University for my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies. I finished my masters’ degree in Elementary
Education at the University of North Texas. Throughout my
teaching career I have taught preschool, first grade, second
grade, and third grade. When I’m outside of school
I’m busy with my family, but I also find time to scrapbook
and read. I’m so excited to be back for another exciting
year! |

I
attended San Diego State University where I received my
Bachelor's Degree and then my Master's Degree in Reading
Education. I taught for six years in San Diego, CA, before
coming to Texas where I have taught 2nd grade every since!
I have a son, Jackson, and a daughter, Avery. In my spare
time I love to read and spend time with my family.

I
am originally from Tennessee, but I’ve lived in
Texas for over 25 years! It has always been my dream
to be a teacher. However, I had a few hurdles to overcome
before I graduated from TWU in May 2000. My husband
went back to school to complete his undergraduate degree
in the late 70’s. He then felt called to work
toward his Master’s Degree at Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Fort Worth in the early 80’s.
In a few years, our son began college. Finally, by 1996,
it was my turn to realize my dream! I have a Bachelor’s
Degree of Science with a specialization in reading.
I feel honored to have a part in the lives of Jackson’s
precious children.
