I
love Jackson!! I began my career with PISD working as
a teaching assistant in Special Education at Jackson while
I finished my Bachelor's Degree at University of Texas
at Dallas. Since completing my teaching degree, I have
taught 5th grade at Jackson. I love teaching and feel
privileged to work with your children. I am so lucky to
be able to wake up every day and come to a job that means
so much to me. I live with my husband, Troy, and my son,
Tyson. I have two stepchildren, Troy II and Allyson. Most
of our free time is spent at sporting events watching
our son play football, baseball or basketball (I call
it my part-time job)! I look forward to all that this
year has in store and can hardly wait to share it with
my students.
Thank
you for this opportunity to introduce myself and say,
"Hello." I'm thrilled to be back for another
year as a fifth grade teacher at Jackson.
The Dallas area has been home to me for a really
long time, having lived in Richardson almost all of my
life. Actually, my children grew up less than a mile from
my old neighborhood. It's been a very nice thing! I graduated
from Harding University in Searcy, AR with a degree in
Business Administration and later received a certificate
in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University.
Teaching brings enriching experiences on a daily basis,
and I look forward to a fantastic
year!
I attended DeVry University and obtained my Bachelor’s
Degree in Electrical Engineering. I worked as an engineer
for about 10 years and decided to make a change in life,
and I don’t regret it--not one bit! I
taught in Carrollton as a 2nd grade bilingual teacher
and here at Jackson as a 2nd, 3rd, and now 5th grade
bilingual teacher.
It is a joy and honor to teach.
Hi
there! I have taught 4th grade here at Jackson, and I am
current teaching 5th grade and loving
it!
I received my undergraduate degree in
Journalism/Advertising from the University of Oklahoma
and love ALL THINGS college football (Boomer Sooner!).
After graduating, I came back to my hometown of Dallas
and worked as an Account Executive for a large advertising
firm for a couple of years. Although I enjoyed it and
learned alot, I found myself really wanting to take my
love of learning to the classroom. So, I entered the SMU
graduate program and soon after, received my Master's
in Education.
I
now live in Richardson with my husband and my black lab,
Buddy. I continue to enjoy this group of kids and am looking
forward to seeing what this year
brings!
