| Welcome
to Jackson Elementary School, where the pride of being a Jackson
Jaguar is jumping! Every morning when I walk through the doors
of this school, I KNOW I have found the right career for myself.
Schools, especially Jackson Elementary School, are alive with
energy, smiles, lessons, and love. I can honestly say, "I LOVE
MY JOB!" The children are truly medicine for my soul.
I
have been in the education field for seventeen years. I started
out as a special education teacher, then became a school counselor
and now an administrator. I have been in Plano for fourteen years
at Bethany, Wyatt, Weatherford, and now I am thrilled to be at
Jackson Elementary School.
My
husband, Lyle, after 25 years in the corporate world, decided
to get his Masters of Divinity from SMU and is now a pastor in
Flower Mound. I have three stepchildren and two precious grandsons.
Bradley, my five year old grandson loved coming to see our new
wing because he climbed inside the locker to show me he could
fit. Oh the thrills of being a kid!
Jackson
is alive with warmth, spirit, and hope. We are anticipating a
year of true excitement. We have been growing in our enrollment
so we have a new second grade wing and a brand new cafeteria that
are ready to be "broken" in this year.
Our
staff is one that is committed to doing whatever it takes to make
a child succeed. They love children and it shows. Our PTA is incredible,
and boy do we depend on them! Our parents provide the glue that
holds it all together. Finally, our students, they are simply
the best!
