I
grew up in a small town in the Panhandle and graduated from Spearman
High School in 1992. I attended West Texas A&M University where
I earned a degree in Education and a minor in Spanish. I attended
graduate school at TAMU and graduated with a Masters in Early Childhood
Education. I taught pre-K bilingual for one year in Amarillo, Texas. I then moved to Istanbul, Turkey, where I taught English at MEF Okulari. After that, I moved to Dallas and taught at Kramer Elementary in Dallas for 6 years. I have been at Jackson teaching kindergarten dual language since 2005. I am married,
and I have a daughter named Scout. In July 2007, I had twins--a
boy named Richard and a girl named Scarlett. We also have two
West Highland White Terriers named Geppetto and Breeze. |

| I grew up in Spring, Texas and hold degrees from Texas A&M University and Rice University. I worked for M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Southern Methodist University before staying home with my three daughters for a few years. (Two of the girls are twins.) While earning my teaching certification, I worked as a teaching assistant for Plano ISD. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, baking, watching movies, and reading historical mystery books. I truly enjoy working with children, and I'm thrilled to be working with the fantastic team at Jackson. | |
| I grew up on a ranch near a small town in central Texas. I am very close to my family and have learned so much from them about the importance of caring for those around me. I graduated from Howard Payne University in 2001 with a BA in Christian Studies and then, took a year off from school to work at HPU. In 2004, I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a MAPD in Counseling. I taught middle school and coached girl’s basketball for a year in Garland before coming to Jackson. This is my fourth year at Jackson and I am looking forward to helping your child get a Mindful of Education! | |

I am a special education teacher working primarily with third grade students here at Jackson. This school year (2009-10) will be my fifth at Jackson, and my fourth year teaching. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) with a major in Sociology and minor in Social Work. I later earned my teaching certification through an alternative certification program. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a special education assistant in a Behavior Support Classroom (BSC) at another PISD campus. I am married and have two daughters (Katherine and Karoline) who attend school in PISD. We have three fish and a “neighborhood” cat that frequents our backyard. I am looking forward to another exciting year at Jackson! |

This is my 12th year at Jackson Elementary, and I have been a Special Education Assistant for 9 of those 12 years. I can't express how happy I am to come to work each day to be with a staff that is so amazing. Everyone is thoughtful, caring, compassionate, genuine and always fun to work and play with. I thoroughly enjoy each person I come into contact with daily and am proud to be a Jackson Jaguar!! |
