S.T.O.P.
S.T.O.P. stands for Students Thinking of Peers. The purpose of the STOP program is for students to use learned skills in order to make responsible decisions and handle peer pressure in an appropriate manner. STOP students function as guidance assistants,contribute to the positive atmosphere of the school, and participate in service projects to help the community. STOP activities for 2004-2005 include planning and participating in Red Ribbon Week, implementing a canned food drive in November to donate to the Plano Food Pantry, providing holiday gifts for the children of the Plano Head Start Program, plan and participate in Friendship Week, have a bake/book/video sale to raise money in order to donate to a charity of their choice and going to Plano Teen Court.
