I was born in Houston, TX, and later moved to Kingwood, TX where I grew up. I attended Abilene Christian University and received my BBA in Marketing. After I was married and had small children, I decided I wanted to teach, so I went to the University of North Texas to work on my teacher's certification. I started teaching sixth grade at Prestonwood Elementary in the Richardson ISD in 1999. I have two wonderful children, Lauren, who is 22 years old and Trey, who is 18 years old. Lauren attends the University of North Texas and is working on her Elementary Education degree. She has a precious little boy who is 20 months old named Caden. He is the light of my life, and he calls me "Honey." Trey is attending Blinn College at College Station in hope of entering Texas A & M next year. I also have a sweet yellow lab named Bucky who is ten years old. I love to cook, garden, read, scrapbook, and shop in my spare time!
