I have been at Mathews for six years. Before that, I was a first grade teacher at Rose Haggar Elementary here in Plano. I have also taught second grade in Bossier City, Louisiana. I was born and grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana where I graduated from Louisiana Tech University. I have a Masters Degree in Education with a Specialist in Reading and a Masters in Library Science. I enjoy being a librarian because I get the chance to work with all the different grades in the school as well as collaborating with the teachers. My goal for the library program is to nurture a love for literature, inspire life-long learning and critical thinking, and help to create effective information users. I have a husband and a 7 year old son who loves sports, so we are very busy.
