We are continuing to teach and work hard with your kids!

Our learning environment will be one that encourages active participation on the part of each child. Children will learn as they explore, observe and interact with each other.  They will be encouraged to express themselves through art, writing, music, and movement.

One of the most anticipated activities in Kindergarten is a visit from some special friends and Mr. Jim Dunlap. This last year he brought a really big frog, a baby American alligator, a really, really big snake, a hissing cockroach and an rather large spider. Of course, the kids had lots of fun!

Meet Ralph, an African Bull Frog!

To make him look big around predators, he sucks in air and flattens out on the ground.

They also met Harley, a baby American alligator.

Max is a Madagasgar Hissing Cockroach.

Next came Trudy, a tarantula spider.
Ms. Young getting a closer look
Ms. Young felt the need to get a closer look!

Of course, everyone's favorite is Squash - the Burmese python. All of the students are given the opportunity to touch Squash and find out what a snake feels like. They learn that it feels a whole lot like rubbing their own fingernail!
