| "Tango" made his second appearance at Memorial Elementary in Second Grade. In conjunction with the study of animals, land forms and habitats, Tango fit right in. Three year old Tango,a macaw, owned and raised by Charlie and Cindy Yelverton, has been raised since he was newly born. Second graders learned that Tango is a lover of McDonald's! He eats everything except avocados and chocolate. Tango is a bird of few words but he talks non-stop at home. One of his favorite sayings is "Who's your Daddy?". What a wonderful visit we had welcoming our tropical friend. Memorial hopes that Tango will visit us again since his life expectancy is around 80 years old. |
