Welcome
to Mendenhall, the first elementary school in Plano ISD. Our
mission is for the Mendenhall community to work together to develop
each student as a life-long learner and responsible citizen.
My
name is Karen Noble and I am the principal at Mendenhall. I was born
in Houston, TX, lived in North Carolina for nine years before moving
to Plano and I attended Wilson, Haggard, Vines and graduated from
Plano Senior High School in 1980. I attended Baylor University where
I earned a B.A., majoring in Elementary Education. I returned to Plano
and began my teaching career at Carlisle Elementary. While teaching
fifth grade at Carlisle, I received a M.Ed. in Special Education-Gifted
and Talented from Texas Woman’s University. After nine years at Carlisle,
I went to teach fifth grade at Thomas Elementary. I stayed at Thomas
for five years before going to open Beverly Elementary as fifth grade
team leader. After two years in that position, I was appointed Principal
Intern at Beverly and became the Principal Intern at Mendenhall in
the fall of 2001. I received my Principal Certification from Texas
Woman’s University in 2001.
At
Mendenhall we strive daily to accomplish our mission of working together
to develop each student as a life-long learner and responsible citizen.
I
am so glad that you have chosen to view our Mendenhall Website. There
are many exciting things going on each and every day at Mendenhall.
After experiencing the school through our website, we invite you for
a visit at our campus. We are very proud of our students and would
love to have the opportunity to talk with you about the learning that
occurs here!
