Enrollment Programs
Children enter our school through three avenues.

  1. State-Funded Prekindergarten Program:
    Prekindergarten -- Prekindergarten, a state-mandated program, serves children who are four years of age on or before September 1 and who are limited English speaking, from families that qualify for free or reduced lunch, or who are military dependents. The program serves Spanish and Chinese bilingual children, English as a Second Language children, and children from families that meet the income guidelines. Eligible students attend this program at no cost to the family. If you live in east Plano, call (469) 752-0203. If you live in central Plano, call (469) 752-4303. If you live in west Plano, call (469) 752-4202. If you are considering the Chinese bilingual program, call (469) 752-1500.

    2007-08 Registration for State-Supported Program

  2. Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD)
    These children are assessed and provided a program that meets their individual special needs. If you have concerns regarding your child’s development, please call our Assessment Office: 469-752-4326.

  3. Tuition Program
    Children who are three years old or four years old on or before September 1st and who do not qualify for either the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities or Prekindergarten (described below) are eligible to enroll in the Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten Program at Barron, Beaty, or Pearson Early Childhood Schools. Parents agree to pay the tuition fee in 10 monthly installments of $250. There is an additional non-refundable registration fee of $100 per child.

Site Based Improvement Committee
