DECA Members interested in competition should attend the competition informational meeting on Monday, November 23. It will be held in Ms. Dudley's room (B1-137) at 4:30. We will discuss event categories, individual practice, group practice, dates of competitions, etc. If you cannot attend, please see Ms. Dudley prior to leaving for Thanksgiving Break.
French Club: Our Ciné-Soirée is this Friday, November 20th, at 4:45 in B4-222! Come sign up for what you will bring. We will be watching (and tasting) "Ratatouille"! Remember that this is the last day that we can accept orders for T-shirts.

Jostens will be coming to Plano East Senior High School to take orders
in the cafeteria on Thursday, November 19 from 7:30 to 7:30 and Friday,
November 20 from 7:30 to 2:00. Packets were passed out November 12
during English classes and extra packets are available in the sub school
offices.
RING ORDERS: It is not too late to order your class ring! Jostens will be returning
to Plano East Senior High School to take ring orders in the cafeteria on
Thursday, November 19 from 7:30 to 7:30 and Friday, November 20 from

FCCLA is collecting Women's Hygiene Products for Hope's Door (an abused women and children's shelter). We are trying to get 35 of each of the following:

We're also collecting Children's Toys for the kids! Collection Boxes are in Doss 1-207, Vaughan 1-209, Eldridge 2-137.
Attention Graduating Seniors - Be sure to check the spelling and accuracy of your name on the Senior Name List which is posted in each sub-school and in the B2 upstairs hallway. If a correction is needed, get a correction card from your sub-school office, complete it and submit it to Mrs. Weaver in B1-146 by Monday, December 7. If you do not submit a correction card, your name will be spelled as posted on the Senior Name list for the Graduation Program and on your Diploma.
Art prints and small ceramics for sale or bid. Quality student artwork available on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 6-8 PM in room A101 in the Arts Building. This Art Sale and Auction also features a free concert by two student bands. Come benefit NAHS and a charity and then go see the Diviners in the Theater at 8.
Plano East Theatre presents The Diviners by Jim Leonard Jr. November 19, 20 & 21 at 8:00 p.m. Set in the 1930’s in the mythical southern Indiana town of Zion, The Diviners explores the importance of faith, friendship and community at a time when hope was lost – The Great Depression. It is the story of a sweet, mentally impaired boy named Buddy who has the ability to divine water in a town where water and faith are in short supply. When a disillusioned out of work preacher comes to Zion, the two outcasts find a common bond and help each other divine for truth, faith and hope. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students. SENIORS: Are you applying to college for fall ‘10 admission? Do you need a letter of recommendation? Do you need a Secondary School Report filled out? Deadlines for college applications are approaching soon. Please be aware counselors need at least two weeks to complete letters of recommendation, school reports, or counselor pages. Be sure to get a recommendation packet from the counselors’ office. The deadline to turn in rec packets is December 1.

CALLING ALL POETS AND WRITERS!!!! The Plano East Literary Magazine will meet every first and third Wednesday. Submissions for the 09-10 edition are being accepted NOW through December 1, 2009. You may email Ms. Porter, diane.porter@pisd.edu, your short stories, poems, etc. for consideration.
