General Information:

In the fall of 1981, Plano East Senior High was opened with 563 juniors. At present, the approximate enrollment at Plano East is 2600 juniors and seniors.

The faculty is comprised of over 200 professionals, including teachers, counselors, principals and other specialists.

The Plano Independent School District includes three senior high schools (11-12), five high schools (9-10), twelve middle schools (6-8) and forty-five elementary schools (K-5). The Plano Independent School District serves the residents of 114 square miles in the southwestern corner of Collin County. The geographic area includes nearly all the city of Plano, northern portions of the cities of Dallas and Richardson, the city of Parker and parts of Murphy and Allen. The district enrollment is about 54,478 students.
