Latin IV Advanced Placement
Prerequisite: Latin II Honors / Pre Advanced Placement

This course utilizes higher level / critical thinking skills, stresses the development of oral skills, comprehension and interpretation of the Latin poetry of Catullus and Ovid, and expands the use of grammar and vocabulary. It emphasizes stylistic analyses and comprehension of literacy techniques, and accurate reading and translation of original Latin literature. The student will have the opportunity to take the Advanced Placement Examination at the conclusion of the course. The focus of this course in an intermediate proficiency in reading comprehension.
