World History Studies is a survey course focusing on an overview of the entire history of mankind from the earliest civilizations to the present. The major emphasis of the course is the study of significant people, events, and issues from the distant past to the present. The course will follow the curriculum set forth in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and Plano ISD.

Semester One
Unit 1 - Civilizations
Unit 2 – Crisis and Recovery

Semester Two
Unit 3 - Revolution
Unit 4 - Industrialization and its Effects
Unit 5 – Times of Crisis
Unit 6 – International Interaction

Materials for class:

1. 3 ring binder with loose leaf paper
2. set of dividers
3. Pen (black or blue only)
4. Pencil with an eraser

Late Work:
You will have one day for each day of excused absence to make up work.

Grading Policy:
75% major grades (tests, essays, projects)
25% minor grades (daily assignments, daily quizzes )
